Welcome to my private violin studio where all who love music are welcome, both young & old. I am located in Glendale, CA 91203. 


What GGLViolinStudios has to offer.

GGLVS students get tailor made regimen for their violin and piano learning experience. I custom make every student lesson plan based on their needs, personalities, temperament, and student's priorities. Whether a students wants to just have fun and learn to play, young and old, or the student wants to be on a competitive professional level, GGLVS is the place that you want to be

I offer 7 tracks for students of all different paces and within these tracks students will get their custom made lesson plans.

GENESIS TRACK  for beginning students we start with half hour sessions twice a week so the child constantly grows and never forgets what they learned that week. Genesis track is mostly for the 2-4 years group.

FOR MY OWN FUN LOVING TRACK   is one hour lesson per a week (4 lessons a month) with a recital every 6 months.

LET'S ME FIND MYSELF TRACK  is six (1hr) lesson per a month with extra lesson on technique, practice technique, and drills, occasional attendance to studio classes, optional competition a year, and a recital every 6 months. Example HERE, watch Sarah win 1st place at the Satori String Contest: Baroque Category.

WORK HARD PLAY HARD TRACK  is 8 (1 hr) 
lessons per a month with extra lessons on technique, practice techniques, drills, two pieces rather than one, attendane to studio classes, one competition a year, and a recital every 3-6 months, introductory level of chamber music. Multiple performances outside the studio.

LET'S SEE WHAT I GOT! TRACK  is 8 ( 90min) lessons per a month with extra lesson on technique, sight reading, theory, stamina, three pieces rather than one, practice technique, attendance of studio classes, participation in masterclasses, ensemble training, chamber class, and a recital every 3 months for solo, chamber recital every 6 months and competitions every season.

WANNA GO FOR IT TRACK   is 10 ( 90min) lessons per a month with extra lesson on technique, sight reading, theory, stamina, three pieces rather than one, practice technique, bi-weekly attendance of studio classes, participation in masterclasses, ensemble training, chamber class, and a recital every 3 months for solo and chamber recital every 6 months. These students are grooming to be elite violinist. Competition participation is a requirement to be apart of this track rotate solo/chamber.

ELITE VIOLINIST TRACK     is the highest level a GGLVS for students who want to be on a competitive level and want to pursue music in their lives (regimen much like elite gymnasts).Elite violinist are taught at a very fast pace and are required a specific amount of time to practice. 
To be an elite violinist takes effort from student and from family as well.

Samuel performing at GGLVS outreach concerts. Teacher Grace has installed a solid foundation in GGLVS that every student participates in which is to become enrich our community with the gifts God has given us. Grace UnHae Kwon and GGLVS students perform over 20 outreach concerts a year.

There 12 -16 lessons a month (no limit on time- anywhere from 1 hr lessons to 3 1/2 hour lessons) with extra lessons focused on

-technique
-practice technique
-sight reading
-drills
-exercises
-theory
-etudes
-3-5 pieces depending on levels within elite
-memorization training
-theory and solfege
-attendance in studio class
-performance class
-outreach concerts for solo and chamber
-masterclasses
-ensemble training
-chamber class
-competitions in solo as well as chamber divisions constantly through the year regional, national, international,
-recital every 3 months, studio, chamber, solo, and a joint recital rotating throughout the year.

The Elite track requires daily homework
checkup to ensure no habits are picked up. [ I currently have 5, 9, 13, 15 year olds in the elite track. The elite track is for ANY AGE as long as they LOVE the violin.]
